Our story
At Pleasant View Puppies, Nathan Steury raises Cavapoo and Mini Bernedoodle puppies with a deep sense of responsibility, care, and purpose. As a Cavapoo and Mini Bernedoodle breeder, Nathan is committed to giving each puppy and parent dog the daily attention, comfort, and care they need to thrive.
Nathan’s grandfather had a lasting influence on the way he views animal care. He often reminded Nathan that raising and caring for animals is more than daily work — it is a calling from God and a responsibility to steward well. That wisdom continues to guide the daily care, attention, and commitment Nathan brings to his dogs.
Why we do this
From feeding and grooming to the way the dogs are handled, housed, and loved, Nathan believes excellent care is not just a responsibility — it is a reflection of stewardship. That conviction led Pleasant View Puppies to invest in a clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed facility where every dog can feel safe and well cared for.
The facility includes heated floors, hydronic-heated kennel decks, shaded outdoor areas, and a fenced play space where the dogs can enjoy fresh air, exercise, and enrichment. Pleasant View Puppies believes that Cavapoo and Mini Bernedoodle puppies do best when they are raised in an environment that supports their health, comfort, and confidence from the very beginning.

Healthy Starts With Healthy Parents: Our Breeding Standards
Pleasant View Puppies is also committed to raising puppies from quality parent dogs. Their parent dogs come from champion stock and are OFA tested and cleared, AKC Certified where applicable, and part of an ongoing commitment to responsible health practices, including genetic testing.

We proudly serve families near Battle Creek, Detroit, Chicago, Columbus OH, Indianapolis, Louisville, Milwaukee, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh. Because our program is intentionally small, visits and placements are scheduled in advance through our waitlist.
Health first — always
Every breed we raise comes with its own known health considerations, and we take them seriously. We are intentional about our dam and sire pairings, and both parents complete health screening before any litter is planned.
